The new anniversary compilation by afmusic.de is out!
“Within just one year afmusic got off to a lightning start. The most innovative netlabel in Germany for Darkwave, Gothic and Independent Music celebrates on the label founder Falk Merten’s birthday their release-anniversary and distributes big presents to their fans – and that are 16 in number on this fiftieth publication.”
Spinefish is proudly participating with the song Memory that is in fact a non-album version of Act 9 from the album Vortex rerecorded with new instrumental parts and both female and male vocals.

The track Memory is included in another forthcoming sampler of AFmusic with which the German label will celebrate its 50th release. The sampler contains in the most part exclusive/previously unreleased tracks of various artists. It will be out on August 7.

United Gothic Underground, a free to download compilation of gothic rock/new wave artists featuring Spinefish, is out! Spinefish participates with the track Fool’s Paradise Revisited. Other bands in this compilation are: Tenebre, The Red Crayon Aristocrat Club, False Faces, Christabel Dreams, The Trespass, Venus Mourning Dress, The Silence Industry, Soror Dolorosa & Noctiflora. So it’s time to “open a bottle of red wine and enjoy these underrated bands.”

Valentine’s Heart, “a compilation for a (nec)romantic day” is finally released. It includes 12 songs from Ekleipsi artists. Spinefish participates in the sampler with the track Cold that is, in fact, a new version of Act 3 from the album Vortex. The compilation is available for free download.

Spinefish are participating in another interesting compilation. It is called 10 Songs for free download – Vol.4: United Gothic Underground. As you can see, almost everything is there in the title. The sampler will be released in the beginning of February by Skeksis86, a Myspace netlabel project.

We have been invited to take part in the Valentine’s day compilation that will be published by the Italian netlabel Ekleipsi in February. It will include the “best tracks about the dark side of love and romance”. For this sake we are preparing an exclusive version of one of our songs specially for this mix. Stay tuned!

Howly Night, a free digital X-mas compilation by AFmusic and Zorch Factory Records, is out today.
“23 more or less known bands with mainly previously uneleased tracks are on ‘Howly Night’. With the first track ‘Dead End’ from Dorcel the listener get trapped into a wonderful melancholic world, which is mainly the undertone on all tracks of this compilation.
Besides already well known acts like The Search, Curious or Camp Z especially the new names are setting the highlights on this compilation. An example for this are ‘Ghost In The Snow’ from (((S))) and ‘Game’ from Notes From The Underground. Everybody who likes the styles of music pointed in the beginning should see ‘Howly Night’ as a commendation. Music for cold winter days that warms heart and soul.”
